Vendor Biography

Cookie Clicker is the ultimate digital “rabbit hole.” It is the pioneer of the incremental (or “idle”) game genre, created by French programmer Julien “Orteil” Thiennot in 2013.

The game is deceptively simple: you click a giant cookie to earn one cookie per click. But very quickly, it evolves into an exercise in massive-scale automation and cosmic absurdity.

How the Madness Works

The gameplay loop is built on a cycle of clicking, buying, and waiting. Here is the typical progression:

Manual Labor: You click the cookie. You get a cookie.

Automation: You use your cookies to buy “assets” that bake cookies for you automatically (Cookies Per Second, or CPS).

Scaling: You start with Cursors and Grandmas, but soon you’re buying Cookie Farms, Alchemical Labs (to turn gold into cookies), and Time Machines (to bring cookies from the past before they were even eaten).

Upgrades: You spend cookies to make your existing buildings twice as efficient, or to make your clicks more powerful.
